Tasting notes
Colour & body
Very light amber with silver and gold bright flashes. Great body. Silky juice.
Nose
Crispy smoke aromas surrounding fruity agave and toasted nut aromas. Subtle herbal and earthy aromas, with a light finish of vanilla.
Taste
A delicate bouquet of dried fruits, earthy and sweet agave notes, with honey and vanilla hints.
How it is made
A Blanco, and then a conversation with wood
Sapiens Ahumado begins as the same Blanco: the same fields, the same brick ovens, the same double distillation, the same signature. Then it rests for fourteen days with smoked French oak chips.
The result is amber only by consequence, never by addition. There are no additives in this bottle: the colour, the smoke and the vanilla are all things the wood gave it.
