We produce using eco-friendly and sustainable methods, and we support bat-friendly farms. The bats that pollinate the agave are on every label for a reason: without them, the plant loses its genetic future.

The magical town
The historical birthplace of tequila
Tequila is best known as being the birthplace of the drink that bears its name. It is an official Pueblo Mágico, and it is where our distillery stands.
Our agave comes exclusively from the state of Jalisco — Zona Valles and Los Altos — and every bottle is distilled and filled at origin. Nothing leaves the region unfinished.

The water
Drawn from beside the volcano
Our water is deep well water taken close to the Tequila Volcano — the same volcanic soil that feeds the agave and gives the tahona its stone.
Water is the invisible half of a tequila. Where it comes from decides how mineral, how clean and how open the final spirit will be, long before anyone opens the bottle.

Our commitment is to preserve the ecology of the Jalisco region
We have put great care into preserving these invaluable resources by practising sustainable farming and growing quality agave with a long-term approach.
Waste back to the fields
All organic waste is re-used to create fertiliser for the agave fields. What the plant gives us in the distillery goes back to the soil that raised it.
100% recycled glass
Every Sapiens bottle is made of 100% recycled glass — moulded with the serpent S on the shoulder and marked on the base.
Estate grown
The serpent, the agave and the promise

The serpent forms the S of Sapiens: an old symbol of knowledge and of transformation — the same thing that happens to an agave between the field and the glass.
